Time for a Catch Up!
It's been a while! So, let's catch up!
August was busy getting ready for the Yellow Daisy Festival in Stone Mountain. If you haven't heard of this festival, you must plan to attend next year. The dates will be September 5-8, 2024. They have about 400 vendors, and it's a great opportunity to find unique gifts for Christmas! So... If you're wondering why would a longarm quilter set up a booth at a festival? Well...I make t-shirt quilts!
I set up a booth with "sample" t-shirt quilts in SEC teams for display and sale. I also talked to a ton of people and passed out business cards so people could send me their shirts for their own custom t-shirt quilts. I had so much fun meeting so many new people. I even had quilters come by (you know we're everywhere!) If you know someone who would like to have a t-shirt quilt made and you don't want to make it (they are a different skill set, and not everyone wants to do them), please send them my way.
I even have a whole section dedicated to t-shirt quilts on my website:

I will also have a booth set up locally at the Oconee County Festival in Watkinsville, GA on October 21st. I'd love to see you there!
Upcoming Holiday Deadline
So, now that the show is over, there has been a lot to do. Putting everything away from the show, taking calls from customers wanting t-shirt quilts, and getting back into the swing of quilting again.
My deadline to turn in quilts for a guaranteed Christmas delivery is October 1st.
I currently have an 8-week turnaround but have had so many quilts turned in the last few weeks it may be a week or so more. However, I guarantee they will be back to you by Christmas if turned in by October 1. I'm so grateful for your trust and faith in me to quilt for you.
One Block Wonder
I have a project I have been working on myself. It will be VERY slow, but I'd like to share it with you. I'm sure it won't be done before Christmas. My Aunt has been wanting a quilt for a long time. She lives in Michigan, so it's hard for us to shop for fabric together. We've texted back and forth for probably a year, but we haven't found the right thing. She was visiting here in July, so we went shopping!
We found the perfect fabric for her one-block wonder quilt! She is so excited! Here is the original fabric and about half of what I need to cut. Incidentally, I will teach this quilt at Sew Sew Studio in January if you're interested. It's a fun quilt; you never know how it will turn out. Look for the class to be listed, and join me!
A Recommendation for you:
Do you ever need to bury a thread after a quilt has already been quilted? I have found the most wonderful tool called Snag Magic.

New Quilting Designs
As always, I've added some new designs to my website. Here are a couple of them! Check out the rest of them under the New Designs tab.
I'm really enjoying the fall weather and football season (hoping to 3peat with UGA!) I always feel like fall is quilt season, too! There's nothing like wrapping up in a homemade quilt made by yourself or someone you love!
Happy quilting!
